Lea Anderson

If “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” then these recent drawings (and constructions of those drawings) are my attempt to mimic and learn from Nature itself. Ultimately, I envy the expansive creative variability I find everywhere, all around, from the smallest atom to the largest galaxy. Patterns repeat while remaining unique; a mystifying paradox.

My own fertile imagination, while no match for that around me, seems somehow to produce an endless variety of forms and shapes, both simple and complex. Ultimately, I believe each of these unique drawings want to live, to cooperate and synchronize, and become part of our living world.
